Graduation season has finally arrived. Evidence? Lots of graduation pictures and stuff about graduating being posted. It’s such a nostalgic feeling that a year ago it was I who was in their shoes.
It has been almost a year since I graduated from college and I had a lot of things to be proud of since that day. :)
1. I think I will always and forever be a proud Thomasian graduate of the College of Nursing. For me, it’s an honor to be labeled as a ‘Thomasian’.
2. I’m proud of passing the July 2011 PNLE with a good mark. It’s not that high and I certainly didn’t expect it but it was a grade that I’m prayed for and I’m proud of. I remember someone said to me that grades are just numbers and what will really define my capabilities are hands-on experiences.
3. I’m proud of having a stable job as a nurse. Although it’s not a high-paying job, I’m proud that I’m working in line of my profession.
4. I’m proud of being a nurse. I think being a nurse is one of the noblest profession there is. They put patients’ needs first before their own and sacrifice a lot just to be able to care for others. I salute nurses who genuinely care for their patients and I can proudly say that I’m of them. :)
5. I’m proud of giving my 1st salary to my parents. It has been one of my dreams - to be able to give my 1st salary to my parents. It gave me great pride that finally, after years and years of spending for my education, I will be able to give back to my parents.
So far, those are the things that I’m proud of since I’ve graduated from college. Well, atleast those were the things I could think of right now.
My warmest congratulations to batch 2012! Today, another chapter of your life begins. Be thankful for all the blessings you have received and never forget to look back at where you were before this moment. THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE. OWN IT. :)
Hmmm konting rant muna. :))
So I’ve tweeted something the other day about me getting annoyed with all the unnecessary fuss people make because of Valentine’s day. My newsfeed was flooded with single people posting supposedly bitter posts about Valentine’s. Sorry if I used the term “bitter”. Why would you post something like “Tomorrow is Tuesday” and “Ano meron bukas” if you’re not bitter about, I dunno, being single perhaps? Can’t you just wish everybody a happy Valentine’s day instead? Pretending not to care by posting something that states that you do not care makes it obvious that you DO care about Valentine’s day. Mas marami pa ngang nagpost na single about Valentine’s day kesa people in a relationship e. Oh well, so much for that.
Now on to the real reason why I blogged. :))
I had the best Valentine’s day by far yesterday. I really want to make yesterday special because it’s me and Aaron’s first Valentine’s day as a couple. Yeah it might sound a little bit cheesy but I’m a very sentimental person and I really cherish all the ‘firsts’.
We spent the whole day together. We ate at YellowCab then we strolled around Trinoma while waiting for the next screening of the movie we’re gonna watch. The Vow was a good movie kaso BITIN! >_< As usual, I cried. Pero nakakaiyak talaga sya. Okay, I’m not gonna spoil anyone (assuming that this blog will be read). It might be just like an ordinary date for us pero ewan, extra special kasi pag Valentine’s date e.
Basta un. No flowers, no chocolates, no stuffed toys, just a whole day together. That’s enough for me. I’m not really a materialistic person so I didn’t mind that I didn’t get to post a picture of myself holding a bouquet of sunflowers. :))
Sooo, just in case babe will be able to read this, here’s a short message for him:
Hi Babe! Thank you for everything talaga, for all the efforts, understanding, time, patience, care and love that you gave and keep giving me. Never ever ako magsasawang mahalin ka. You are my forever. I love you with every fiber of my being. :*
SORRY NA KUNG CHEESY!
Anyways, I hope everyone, single or double, had a lovely and fabulous Valentine’s day yesterday. :)
